SAY: Speech's Virtual Intervision Lunch
What is intervision?! Intervision is a peer-led learning method in which a small group of professionals that share a passion and interest for working with people who stutter will meet to enhance the quality of their work.  Intervision meets virtually and participants have the opportunity to share and learn from one another through case presentations and breakout discussion groups. More information about the "intervision" process will be shared once you have registered. We will strive to make this a space where you can share your ideas and perspectives without being judged. We're so excited you can join this month!

Registration for this event is FREE and certificates of attendance will be provided for 1 professional development hour (PDH)!

Registration closes the week before each meeting to allow us enough time to develop breakout groups and assign roles. Zoom links will be sent out a few days prior to the meeting so be sure to register by the deadline to ensure you receive the link.  Email Brooke@say.org with any questions!

Name (as you'd like it to appear on your PDH certificate):
Place of Employment:
Is this your first time joining an Intervision meeting?
*
Which meeting are you registering for? If you'd like to join more than one (which we hope you do), please register separately for each one! While you certainly can register in advance for meetings, please don't forget to volunteer to facilitate or present a case!  This is how we keep our groups running.

*These dates are all subject to change. An email will be sent the month before the meeting to alert registered participants of any changes!

Submit a Case
In a few sentences, please describe the client's age as well as a few key aspects of the case that you would like to present.   *Please note we will only be selecting one case to present per breakout group. Feel free to resubmit a past case if you weren't selected to present last meeting. If you ARE selected, you will be notified a week in advance and we'll provide you with more information about what to expect!
Would you be willing to be a breakout group facilitator for this meeting?
Your willingness to be a facilitator will NOT impact the likelihood of you being selected to be a case presenter! There is no prep work for becoming a facilitator. You will be provided with the timeline of meeting, a sample script of what you can say as you introduce each step of the Intervision process, etc.
Clear selection
Will you be able to attend the entire meeting (60 minutes)?
Clear selection
Intervision is meant to be a safe space for speech pathologists to share and learn from each other.  While there are other programs that SAY hosts aimed at kids, teens, caregivers and allies, this program is ONLY for speech pathologists.

I attest that I am a state certified speech language pathologist.  Please indicate at least one state you currently have an active license below.

(If you are a graduate student interested in volunteering as a note-taker, please do NOT register. Instead, email Brooke@say.org for more information)
Ground Rules and Consent

By registering for this event, I hereby acknowledge that I have reviewed, understand and agree with the Ground Rules and Consent statements below.
1. Participants must notify SAY with at least 24 hours notice if they will be missing a meeting that they have registered for. This allows us to make the proper adjustments to the breakout groups. If you are a case presenter, please provide AT LEAST 72 hours notice so that we are able to select a new case presenter. You can contact Director of SAY: Speech, Brooke Leiman Edwards at Brooke@say.org or (646)403-3519

2. SAY is dedicated to providing a positive and safe environment for all who participate in our events. Accordingly, SAY reserves the right to ask a person to leave a meeting at our sole discretion if they display excessive violent, inappropriate or disrespectful behavior. If a person is asked to leave, it will be at SAY's sole discretion if that person can return to future meetings.

3. Attendance problems adversely affect SAY's programs, and ultimately your experience in those programs as well. Because of this, you may be asked to leave the program if you are excessively absent for meetings you have registered for. This decision will be made on a case-by-case basis at SAY's discretion.

4. No individually identifiable health information will be shared during these meetings.

5. All advice and guidance provided during Intervision is intended for general informational and educational purposes.  Having not met the student and having only limited information provided by the treating SLP, the advice should be taken with caution and the treating SLP ultimately must make their best judgement about what is best for the student.

6. The opinions and thoughts expressed during Intervision reflect only the individual's views who shared them and does not reflect the views of SAY.

7. Say: Speech's Intervision Lunch is an online program, taking place using Zoom Video Communications. While Zoom is HIPAA compliant, any internet-based communication is not 100% guaranteed to be secure/confidential.  I agree that SAY should not be held responsible if any outside party gains access to Zoom's personal or confidential information by bypassing their security measures.

8. Say: Speech may reproduce, publish or use any photograph, picture, sobriquet, voice or likeness of participants in order to illustrate and promote the participant experience or SAY and it's programs. However, please note that SAY will never knowingly reproduce, publish or use anything that includes personal health information or personal identifiable information of a case that is being presented.

This program is offered free of charge. If you'd like to support SAY in continuing to offer a broad range of programs and events for kids, families and professionals, please consider a donation! You can find information on donating here: www.say.org/support-say/
