Pre-Slate for the 2025-2026 Student Nurse Association of Illinois Board of Directors

Please read before proceeding. The following is required to run for a seat on the SNAI Board of Directors.

*You must be a NSNA member to hold a seat on the Board of Directors (NSNA Membership)

*You must be present physically at the Annual Convention, date TBD, to be elected.

*A letter of recommendation from a school nursing instructor or report of good standing from the school Registrar

President- The President leads the organization by presiding over meetings, representing SNAI to external stakeholders, ensuring constituent schools maintain NSNA status, appointing committees, and overseeing overall organizational effectiveness.

Vice President - The Vice President supports the President, leads planning of the annual convention, chairs the Convention Planning Committee, and facilitates the transition for the next Vice President.

Secretary - The Secretary maintains all organizational records and correspondence, manages official documents and meeting minutes, and communicates key updates to constituents and NSNA.

Treasurer - The Treasurer manages the organization’s finances, including budgeting, expense approvals, reports, audits, and financial compliance in partnership with the financial consultant.

Newsletter Editor - The Newsletter Editor produces and distributes newsletters and promotional materials, manages content and design, and supports communication efforts related to events and organizational visibility.

Membership Director - The Membership Director focuses on recruitment and retention, supports local chapters, and develops statewide membership initiatives.

Communication Director - The Communications Director oversees digital communication through social media and website updates, collaborates on quarterly submissions to Nursing Voice, and keeps members informed through online platforms.

Population and Global Health Director - The Population and Global Health Director leads initiatives related to public health, serves as a liaison to relevant agencies, promotes community health engagement, and facilitates resolutions for presentation at state and national events.

Nominations and Elections Committee Chair - Nominations and Elections Committee Chair manages the candidate nomination and vetting process, ensures election procedures are followed, and helps maintain fair and transparent board elections.

Elected Executive Consultant - The Elected Executive Consultant, a recent graduate or registered nurse, provides mentorship, continuity, and insight from recent board experience, and serves as a non-voting advisor to the board.
