Submit your resume and writing sample
This year we are asking all applicants to send a resume AND writing sample. Writing samples could be a business plan, powerpoint slides for your pitch, problem briefs, market research, user research write-ups. If you do not have a writing sample for your startup, feel free to send in an essay or document that demonstrates your writing ability.

Once you're finished filling out this application, please attach a PDF of your resume and writing sample, and email it to jen@gritcube.org with the subject of " *Your Full Name* Gritcube Resume and Writing Sample." Your application is not complete until you do so!

Terms and Conditions
In order to be eligible to participate in the Gritcube Fellowship Application Process, each applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

Basic Eligibility

- Be over 18 years of age.
- Propose a new business idea or expansion of an existing business that will be based in Zambia.
- Ideas can be submitted by individuals or by a group as long as all group members meet all of the criteria and only one person from the group participates with the Gritcube consultant(s) and events. The same person must be the one who attends the entire Fellowship from beginning to end.
- All applications must be written in English, submitted electronically through google forms and a resume must be emailed and received by Gritcube before Gritcube considers your application.

Application Process

- Gritcube reviews eligible applications and ranks each application according to its model.
- Successful applicants are invited for an in-person, phone, or virtual interview through Google Hangouts or Skype.
- Finalists are chosen by Gritcube once interviews are completed.

Responsibilities of the Fellow

- If the applicant is awarded Fellowship (Fellow), failure to attend less than 80% of scheduled meetings with consultant(s), Gritcube's leadership team, and events will result in termination of the Fellowship until the Fellow can provide evidence for extenuating circumstances.
- Fellows agree to disclose their business idea to the public.
- Fellows agree to allow Gritcube to take photos of them and their business for promotional materials and website.
- Consultants and the Gritcube leadership team will work with Fellows to build and expand their business idea, however it is ultimately the responsibility of the Fellow to take ownership of their business.

Gritcube's Reservations

- Gritcube reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found giving false information or violating competition rules.
- Gritcube reserves the right to review and amend the rules, regulations, and timings of the application process if deemed necessary.
- Gritcube reserves the right to terminate Fellowship if the applicant is found to give false information, engage in criminal activity, or conduct unlawful behavior under the Laws of Zambia or the United States of America.
