"Preparing today’s young women to become the leaders of tomorrow"
Dear Prospective Longhorn Leader,
Every year Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. hosts Longhorn Leaders Day, a conference geared towards young women who are emerging leaders in the community. We are proud to announce that this year’s theme will be:
“Uniting Girls, Inspiring Futures”
The theme honors and recognizes that united women can create their own futures. Girls need to unite together and find inspiration in themselves and their peers. Ever girl who attends this conference can teach everybody something new.
Longhorn Leaders Day is a conference in which young woman learn the resources available to succeed in high school and college, as well as the gender specific educational/professional stereotypes. The young women will attend workshops that educate them on female leaders who have defied stereotypes, accomplished their goals, and impacted the community by overcoming these stereotypes.
This year’s conference will be held on April 6th 2013 at the University of Texas at Austin from 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM. We hope you greatly consider registering for the conference. Two young women will be awarded a scholarship based off of a separate application. The conference is completely free of charge and breakfast and lunch will be provided
We look forward to receiving your registration form and (if applicable) your scholarship application.
