Rebecca Parson 2020 Field Director Application
Rebecca Parson is an LGBTQ democratic socialist running for Congress in WA-06 (the Olympic Peninsula, Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Kitsap County). She's been endorsed by Brand New Congress, DSA, Our Revolution, and Matriarch PAC. She's fighting for a progressive platform, including single-payer Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, national rent control, strengthening unions, and bringing the pharmaceutical industry into public ownership.

Our primary is August 4th and we are a vote-by-mail state.
Field Director Responsibilities:
● Implement our field plan, breaking it down into daily goals
● Build and manage a field leadership team to execute field plan
● Set, meet, and exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, grassroots
engagement, and GOTV
● Design and standardize best practices for data management with VAN
● Establish a productive and fun culture within the field organization focused on accountability,
specific goals, innovation, and sense of purpose
● Coordinate field organizing with fundraising operations
● Manage the field program budget and logistics in collaboration with senior staff
Qualifications:
● 2+ cycles of campaign field manager experience
● Willing to relocate to Tacoma, WA (if lockdown and social distancing is lifted enough to safely canvass)
● Highly experienced and able to train others in VAN — both MyVoter and MyCampaign
● Experience designing, maintaining, and improving a goal-oriented accountability structure
without compromising staff autonomy or innovation
● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent deadlines
● Strong communication and organizational skills, showing attention to detail
● Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet
recruitment and voter-contact goals

Pay:
$4,000/month for full time
We will consider part-time candidates for May and June at $2,000-$3,000/month part-time.
GOTV in July requires full-time availability.
