2017 OUTeast Film Festival Submission Form
The OUTeast Film Festival Association is pleased to open a call for submissions for the 2017 OUTeast Queer Film Festival. The 6th Annual OUTeast Festival, presented by RBC, will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 15 - 18, 2017.

All applicants must complete this form AND include a link to a secure online screener of the submitted work. Only electronic submissions will be considered. For further inquiries or exceptions contact Jenna Dufton, Director of Programming, jenna@outeastfilm.com.

Submissions may be fiction, documentary, animation or experimental of any length. We will accept films dealing with queer subject matter as well as those made by queer filmmakers. Only films completed no more than 18 months prior to the 2017 OUTeast Film Festival will be considered for admission. Preference will be given to submissions that have not been distributed theatrically or broadcast on television in the Atlantic region prior to the 2017 Festival. Films will be considered for the Official 2017 Festival Program and the Out of Your Seats experimental series.

Deadline for all submissions is March 24, 2017, 11:59 PM AST.

ENTRY FORMAT: Films with commentary or dialogue in languages other than English must be subtitled or dubbed in English for consideration. Only online screeners will be considered.
 
PROGRAM SELECTION: All entries are viewed and chosen by a Selection Committee and the Director of Programming. Final selections are at the sole discretion of the Festival.
 
NOTIFICATION: Successful entrants will be notified of the decisions of the Selection Committee by May 1, 2017.
 
The Festival retains the power to decide on all matters not specifically dealt with in these regulations. No application will be accepted unless accompanied by a completed submission form. Submission of your application shall constitute acceptance of these regulations. In any dispute, the decisions of the Festival shall be final. The Applicant releases the Festival, its Officers, Directors and all other employees and representatives, from any and all claims relating in any way to your application or the submission of materials to the Festival by or on behalf of the Applicant, whether on film, video, or other media.
