LifeLine Ambulance, Inc. is a licensed Private Vocational School with the Washington State Training and Education Coordinating Board, a Washington State Department of Health Training Program, and a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Training Program. Course Description and Requirements:
This is a private course offered through Republic EMS and Curlew EMS. Any payment arrangements need to be made through those agencies directly.

Class will be held from 1800-2100 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 0800-1600 on Saturdays from January 2, 2020 to March 21, 2020 in Curlew (at the High School).

This 12-week course meets or exceeds DOT and Washington state requirements for an EMT course and The National Emergency Services Training Standards. The course takes approximately 165 clock hours to deliver and students should expect to dedicate an equal amount of time to study for the content delivered. Observation time/ride along time is required in addition to class time.

Course fee of $1800.00 includes books, online course content and test prep, and the required BLS Provider course. Course fee will be due December 19, 2019 to insure a space in the course.

Students must meet all course requirements, pass final cognitive and practical exams, and maintain a 70% or higher grade in the course to be issued a course completion certificate. Students must have at least 90% attendance in the course.

Students will be responsible for the NREMT cognitive testing fee ($80), any needed immunizations (varies), and any travel expenses associated with observation time or NREMT cognitive testing.

Course Entrance Requirements Include:
Be at least 18 years of age by March 21, 2020.
Have a photo ID.
Have a GED or High School Diploma (high school students will be considered on a case by case basis).
Read, write, and understand the English language.
Have access to a computer and the internet.
Lift a minimum of 75 lbs and have the physical ability to perform the duties of an EMT.
Provide immunization records.
DOH Requirements:
The Washington State Department of Health requires you pass the NREMT cognitive exam and a background check to become an EMT. The DOH also requires you be affiliated with an EMS agency to be certified as an EMT in Washington State.
