Thank you for your interest in auditioning for a chance to be a character in our next recital, happening June 6th! This recital takes takes you over the rainbow into the land of Oz!
Auditions will be Saturday, February 14th starting at 2pm. The auditions will be at our Ellsworth studio. A more concrete schedule will come out once we get an idea of how many dancers are auditioning. Please come prepared with your own line you think the character you are auditioning for would say and a 30 second performance of song and/or dance.
Dancers auditioning must bring a printed headshot to the day of audition. These headshots are used for marketing purposes both on social media and in the auditorium on recital day! Headshots must be 5 x 7!
Anyone cast as a character for a recital class routine will not be included in the group picture for picture day unless they purchase the class costume. Due to the nature of this recital, many characters will not always be in costume in some class routines. We will let you know after the auditions what to expect.
Please also note that not everyone auditioning will be cast in a role. We are looking to cast the following:
Dorothy
Toto
Tin Man
Lion
Scarecrow
Glinda
Oz
Elphaba
Mayor of Munchkin City
We are also looking to cast group ensembles, such as Flying Monkeys etc. To be considered for an ensemble, dancers must audition for one of the character options above.
***Please be aware that there is a $25 audition fee and a script fee of $25 for any characters cast with a speaking role***
