WGIN will present the 2023 World Green Infrastructure Awards at the
World Green Infrastructure Congress in Berlin, Germany on June 27th - 29th.
Please use this template to submit your nomination for the
Urban Landscape Green Infrastructure Project.An urban landscape project which incorporates vegetative planting and landscape design with an intention to contribute to climate adaptation. Primary consideration will be given to projects which have specific impact on reducing urban temperatures (Urban Heat Island Effects) and also improve stormwater management during peak rain events. Primary consideration will also be given to projects which display a multifunctionality approach to climate adaptation. Secondary consideration will be given to project outcomes displaying social benefits; biophilic design; total carbon footprint management; economic benefits; environmental benefits; research and monitoring practice; climate adaptation data collection.
There is no restriction based on the scale of the project within an urban context. We encourage members to choose nominations that are based on merit and efficacy.Our Awards celebrate those realized projects that
demonstrate best practice and show the many ways in which green infrastructure improves
our places and spaces for the benefit of communities and the environment
globally.
The deadline for the submission of nominations is
Sunday, May 14th, 2023. Please note that Each National Association member may nominate two projects from either their own Nation or any other Nation. For example: Germany can nominate a projects completed in Germany or anywhere in the world. There is no restriction on the project location.
The following questions will provide the judging panel with information to determine a winner for this award. Comprehensive answers will increase the success of the projects nominated.
File attachments to the nomination (documents, photos, videos etc.) should be uploaded to cloud storage (like Google Drive) for access by the WGIN award administrators/jury. Please include notice of copyright limitations and requirements for attributions/crediting.
