Austin Hindu Temple 10th Anniversary
With HIS divine grace, Austin Hindu Temple & Community Center is celebrating 10th anniversary of Sri Vara Siddhi Vinayaka (fondly known as Sri Ganesha) Temple on Feb 19 2017.
AHT would like to recognize all the founding families for the vision and support during the early years and for the continued support throughout to see the seed grow into a traditional place of worship in Austin. The temple serves not only this generation but also for the next generations to come. Thank you!!
With the great start in 2007, AHT has been growing by leaps and bounds. In subsequent years, AHT added the Navagraha Temple, Naga Devatha, Priest Quarters, Guru Mandir (Shirdi Sai Temple) and the most the most magnificent main temple with Sri Siva, Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devi, Sri Venkateshwara and several parivaara devathas. Most recently, Sri Prasanna Ganapathy prathista was performed. Many of you were present at the event in the Murchison Middle School, where we received the Prasanna Ganapathy as our first deity.
In addition to the traditional religious activities, the temple continues to support spiritual and cultural activities. In addition, temple offers dharma classes, language classes, music, and dance classes through its Gurukulam Program. The temple also operates a kitchen where tasty food is available for devotees for a small donation.
AHT invites all the founding families of 2007 to the Special Abhisekham, Alankaram, and, Sahasra modaka homam on Feb 19 2017. To mark the 10th anniversary, AHT is offering these sevas for free to all the founding families. We request you to come with your family, participate in these sevas, and receive vedic aasheervachanam from our esteemed priests. While you are here, please review the progress of the Ornamentation work of the main temple, and enjoy the tasty food in AHT’s kitchen. Masala Dosa, Mysore Bajji, and Chole Poori, are some of the favorite dishes among most of the devotees.
Please RSVP by using the following link so that arrangements can be made accordingly. If you cannot come in person, please send in your gothra naamas and other details so that priests can offer them to Lord Ganesha on your behalf.
Again, thank you for your continued support to your temple. Without your initial support, Ganesh temple would not have been possible. May the Almighty bless you and your family.
Thank you.
Management, AHT.
