West Hartford Bicyclists: What Are Your Biggest Safety Concerns?

If you ride a bicycle in West Hartford, we'd appreciate a moment of your time. Your responses will help identify the issues riders experience most often and the improvements that can have the greatest impact in our community.

As part of its Vision Zero initiative, West Hartford has demonstrated its commitment to making our town more walkable and bikeable through traffic engineering by adding raised crosswalks, bike lanes, bike paths, curb extensions, and other improvements throughout town. But traffic engineering alone is not enough — education and enforcement are also key elements in the overall public safety solution.

Maybe you used to ride, and that old bike is now gathering dust in your garage. Or maybe your kids, grandkids, friends, or neighbors enjoy riding in town. If so, please share this survey with them. Freedom, fitness, peace, and wonder are just a few of the gifts that come free with every bike ride. So stand up and be counted. Whether you're a past, present, or future bicyclist, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we can help make West Hartford a safer and more enjoyable place to ride a bicycle.
