Students who successfully complete the course will earn a two year Wilderness First Aid certification, along with a CPR/AED and epipen certifcation (all good for two years). All certifications will be issued through Desert Mountain Medicine, a nationally recognized wilderness medicine institution.
The course will take place at TEENS, Inc. 151 East Street, Nederland, CO 80466. The dates of the course are Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13th from 8am-4:30/5pm daily. Students must attend at least 80% of the course to receive the certification.
Please reach out if you have any questions. Call us at 303.258.3821 and ask for Rebecca or email rebecca@teensinc.org. Your application does not guarantee a spot. Please do not make plans to participate until we contact you.
*Students 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult registered in the course, students who are 13 and 14 are encouraged to register with an adult but not required. 14 and up can participate alone.
Once you are accepted on to an Outdoor Leadership program we will request a $100 deposit to hold your spot. We will ask for the balance about 2 weeks prior to the class. Our programs are popular and we want to ensure that all available spots are filled, which is difficult if people drop out last minute. Your deposit is non-refundable unless you cancel with 2 months notice before the start date of the class. If you are receiving a full scholarship, you will not need to pay a deposit, but we request that you are certain you want to do the program before accepting the scholarship.
