, Perpich Center for Arts Education is hosting a Relicensure Double Header--two virtual sessions that address two topics required for renewal of Tier 3 and Tier 4 licenses in Minnesota.
- Creating More Inclusive Arts Classes for English Learners is 4:10 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. This session focuses on instructional strategies that
increase understanding and communication for English Learners—for all learners! This session is also offered January 31 at 5:15 p.m., February 26 at 5:15 p.m., and March 12 at 4:10 p.m.
- Supporting Student Engagement in Arts Classes is 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Related to Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS),
this session focuses on nurturing a supportive classroom community, the impact
of adult decisions on community, and resulting student engagement in arts classes. This session is also offered January 22 at 4:10 p.m., February 29 at 4:10 p.m., and March 21 at 5:15 p.m.
Our presenter is Wendy Barden. Wendy serves as Director of Professional Development and Resource Programs at Perpich Center. In these sessions, she weaves her 4+ decades of experience in music education with the expertise of others to bring practical and important ideas for your teaching.

- Participants will complete a brief evaluation form to receive the clock hours certificate(s).
