3D Print Request | Taunton Public Library
By submitting this form you agree to understanding the following:
  1. Patrons are limited to 1 print request per calendar month.
  2. When your print is ready for pickup, we will send you an email notifying you of its completion and you must pick it up within two weeks. Otherwise, the library will take ownership of the print (if you fail to pick up your print two times within a year, you will not be able to request prints for six months).
  3. The library has the right to refuse any request it deems offensive, harmful, or inappropriate per our discretion.
  4. The model must be print-ready and preferably scaled as you want it. If you're copying a link from a public website and want it scaled differently, please specify below. The request will be denied if any errors occur, such as unsupported overhangs or models that exceed the maximum volume.
  5. The library will not assemble or clean prints for you in any way.
  6. For now, we ask that prints are limited to 5 hours.
Our printer is a Bambu P1S, with a maximum print volume of 256 x 256 x 256mm (or roughly a 10in. cube), a maximum of four colors, and on one plate only.

We require your email and phone number to be able to contact you about your print. If you receive an email confirming your request has been submitted, this means that we have received your request and will add it to the queue of requests. Please understand that there may be long wait times due to the popularity of the program.

If this print is for a child, an adult 18+ must fill out this form for them - please use the adult's email and phone number for contact purposes.

I will not hold the library, its employees, the City of Taunton, or The Friends of the Library liable for any damage that might occur due to the use of the printed design. The library only prints in PLA, which is not strong enough for use in a machine. It is also not heat resistant, so the object will become disfigured if it is near a heat source or direct sunlight. *
This service is provided by the library free of charge to its patrons for recreational use only. I agree that I will not request prints with the intent to profit off of these creations. *
I acknowledge that completed 3D prints may be photographed and shared on the Taunton Public Library's social media accounts. No identifying patron information or names will be included in these posts. *
