Sickhouse & Nerdlab once again bundle their
forces for a couple of amazing activities as a part of the Long-distance LARP project. This year we are organizing five digital role-playing games, next on the agenda:
Temporal Worlding: a Remote Reality Game
How do you give and take time – and what for?
Join us for Temporal Worlding, a game about the relations to time that shape our lives. Taking place on June 6, 2026, 3-6 PM, you are invited to a game experience that changes how you move through worlds by altering your perception of time. Temporalities become materials that can be shaped and sculpted through language, technology, and embodied action.
Temporal Worlding is a Remote Reality Game that blends digital gaming with Live Action Role-Playing (LARP). In pairs, you will embody a single character split into two bodies: gamer and avatar. Connected through a video call, you go on a walk together, navigating time through voice, movement, and a shared narration. Along the way, you will come to terms with how you perceive time – not only through standardized clock time or your own bodily rhythms, but also through social senses of the future, past, and present.
Feel invited to sign up in pairs. If you sign up alone, you will be paired with another participant.

When: Saturday, 6th June 2026, 15h00 - 18h00
Where: Online
Who this is for: Anyone who’s curious about playful mediums. We give priority to people from 18-30 years old. No LARP experience needed!
What you need: All participants will receive a playbook by post. To play as a gamer you will require a computer, a quiet place, and optionally headphones with an integrated mic. To play as an avatar you will be required to bring a smartphone and headphones with an integrated mic. Chest harnesses to mount your smartphone will be sent to you by post.
About the artists: Carina Erdmann works on the intersection of game design, performance and philosophy, researching role play as a method for social speculation. Steph Holl-Trieu is an artist and writer who engages with the material conditions of perception and experience through text, performance and role play. In their collaborative work, they practice role-play as a form of collective research, working between artistic production, pedagogy and discourse.
Sign up deadline: 27 May 2026
