Lent is a time to share the love we receive from God, to put our prayer into action. While we often think of Lent as a time of self-reflection and fasting, the prophet Isaiah reminds us that God calls us to entirely different fast: To seek justice, care for the needy and tend parched places. When our prayer turns to action, Isaiah proclaims a remarkable vision: God will make us strong and satisfy our needs. Together we will raise the foundations of many generations and be called restorers of God’s creation.
