Youth Conference Standards
Be 14 years old or older on or before June 15, 2018.
Dress modestly to show respect for God and yourself.
Follow the Standards outlined in “For Strength of Youth” pamphlet.
Treat everyone with kindness and respect.
Use language that uplifts, encourages, and compliments others.
When dancing, avoid full body contact or suggestive movements.
Be honest with yourself, others, and the Lord.
Choose righteousness and happiness, no matter what your circumstances.
Participate in the program and do not leave the groups, or program locations without permission.
DRESS AND GROOMING STANDARDS
All youth must be clean, well-groomed and modestly dressed. For the Saturday night formal dance, Young Women are expected to wear a dress/skirt and Young Men are expected to wear a button-up shirt, tie and slacks (no jeans).
For the rest of the conference all youth must be clean, well-groomed and modestly dressed. No offensive language or images on t-shirts. Shirts must have sleeves. Shorts must be worn to the knee.
The following are NOT appropriate for Youth Conference:
·Tight-fitting or revealing clothing
·Sleeveless or bare shoulders
·Low-cut necklines (front or back)
·Tank, Halter or Tube Tops
·Dress/skirt lengths or slits that are shorter than knee-length
·Faded, Frayed or Pants with Holes
Behavior in and around the Church building will be in accordance with Church standards. Intimate positions (including but not limited to kissing, prolonged hugging, bear hug dancing & lap sitting), obscene or suggestive dance movements are not allowed.
Because the way you dress sends messages about yourselves to others and often influences the way you and others act, you should dress in such a way as to bring out the best in yourself and those around you.
