Our delegation will stay at the Columban Mission Center (CMC), which offers life-giving and graced opportunities for personal growth and clarity. Located in El Paso, Texas, the CMC offers border awareness programs to visiting groups and facilitates their contact with organizations and institutions who work on the front line of border issues, including poverty, migration, human rights, and environmental justice.
While in El Paso, participants will have a chance to pray and reflect; meet with local advocates, humanitarian projects, and immigration law enforcement; and visit Cuidad Juarez and pray with a local parish there.
Participants are asked to pay $100 per day of their visit, as well as airfare to and from El Paso.
Before our trip, the Columban Center delegation will meet over Skype (or a similar online platform) to get to know each other before we arrive in El Paso, and to go through a brief orientation.

----Participants will deepen their faith through the Columban tradition of cross-cultural encounter and community building. This will happen between the delegation and the El Paso/Cuidad Juarez border community, as well as within the delegation itself.
----Participants will see how justice, peace, and environmental concerns manifest at the border, and learn about the experiences and the body of social teachings that enrich Columban justice commitments.
----Participants will be empowered to use their experience as a source for advocacy work when they return to their home communities.
