Welcome to the registration for the 2026 Tawa Junior Hockey Club Teams. Its great to have you with us for this upcoming Hockey Season!

For 2026 we will be entering club teams in the Wellington Hockey Association (WHA) Saturday Morning competitions:

- Year 3/4 4-aside Mixed
- Year 5/6 6-aside Mixed
- Year 7/8 7-aside Girls (with goalie)
- Year 7/8 7-aside Boys/Mixed (with goalie)

Years 3/4 games will be at Elsdon (Porirua) at 10:00am, 10:15am, 10:30am

Years 5/6 will be at Elsdon or NHS in Newtown, Kapiti at 9:00am and 10:00am (Kapiti-based games at 9:45am)
Years 7/8 will be at Elsdon, NHS/Newtown, Kapiti, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt at 11:00am, with earliest start at 10:00am (Kapiti-based games at 10:45am or 9:45am)

The WHA competition begins 2 May 2026 and runs until 12 September 2026. There are no games played on 30 May (King's Birthday weekend), 4 July, 11 July (school holidays) or 22 August (Secondary Schools Tournament weekend).

All dates and times are indicative and subject to change.

Training times are yet to be confirmed by WHA. However we expect to receive the same time slot as last year - between 5pm-7pm.

The club can provide full goalie kit for any Year 7/8 players wishing to play as a goal keeper.

Playing fees for 2026 remain unchanged :
- $180 for Year 7/8's
- $160 for Year 5/6's
- $120 for Year 3/4's

These fees include uniforms & equipment provided by the club, turf hire and lighting costs, and Wellington Hockey association and competition fees. Uniforms will need to be returned to the club at the end of the season.

Players will need to have their own stick, mouthguard, shin guards and club hockey socks (we will have these available to purchase for $20).

We will try our best to accommodate any requests but please note this may not always be achievable when confirming teams. For years 3-6 we try to match children with others from the same school to allow for shared transportation to games.
