2024-25 SCBWI San Francisco/South Scholar-in-Residence Application
The SCBWI San Francisco/South Scholar-in-Residence program is only open to current, active members of SCBWI San Francisco/South - residents of the following counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito. There are two short writing sections in this application. One is 500 words to describe your project and the other is 300 words to describe your planned presentation.

Applications are due August 31st. Recipients will be announced at our in-person Golden Gate Day on September 28th and will be notified by email if not in attendance at that event.

Please write a maximum of 500 words describing your area of expertise, planned writing or illustration project for the residency, and specific proposed activities that would benefit from receiving the scholarship. *
Scholars-in-Residence conclude their residency with a free presentation for our members (can be online or in-person). The topic should be relevant to your residency project. Please write a maximum of 300 words describing what your planned presentation topic will be.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
