Women Uprising and CO-WFP Application - Denver Colorado Oct 13 - 15

We are Women Uprising, a nonprofit progressive training collective preparing women to run and win campaigns in partnership with Colorado Working Families Organization. We are an experienced team of former campaign staffers, candidates, community organizers and educators who are united by shared progressive values rooted in racial and gender justice. We are committed to not only increasing women’s voices in the halls of power, but fundamentally changing the way power works for the benefit of our families and communities.

What we offer:

Training: Through a series of free hybrid (in-person and online) 3-day weekend intensives across Colorado we will train and educate women on how to run and manage political campaigns from start to finish. Our intensive weekends are supported throughout the year with virtual deep-dives into various aspects of a campaign. Through interactive workshops for both potential candidates and campaign workers we will demystify the campaign process, review the nuts and bolts of setting up and managing political campaigns, engage with local labor organizers and other endorsing organizations, and learn from elected women leaders about their pathway to public office.

How to Apply

Although our training is free, space is limited. We are seeking applicants who reflect progressive values consistent with Colorado Working Families Organization mission to empower people, organizations, and communities to build a multiracial and feminist populist movement that strengthens democracy and advances racial, social, and economic justice.

Once accepted your costs for tuition including education materials and meals for in-person training will be covered. Other expenses, including transportation and lodging, etc. are not included.
