Showmanship will be based on age of the exhibitor.
Wethers will be shown in weight classes and will require weigh-in at check-in at the show. Does will be shown according to age -- Doe Classes (based on Doe's birthdate - please bring farm records or if animal is registered a copy of papers to prove age)
Junior Doe Division: Class 1: 0 to under 3 months Class 2: 3 to under 6 months Class 3: 6 to under 9 months
Senior Doe Division:Class 4: 9 to under 12 months Class 5: 12 to under 24 monthsClass 6: Any Doe over 2 years of Age
To calculate what age class your doe will show in use the following format:In order to calculate the class divisions, take the show date and count back to the birth date in order to determine the age and the class for the animal. For example: If an animal was born January 9, 2017 and the show date is June 10, 2017 → the animal would be 5 months and 1 day old so this animal would be shown in the 3 to under 6 months of age class if a doe. (Remember wethers are shown by weight). Another example: If a doe was born on December 7, 2016 the animal would be 6 months and 3 days old so it would be shown in the 6 months to under 9 months of age class.
Classes are subject to change depending on attendance. WE ASK THAT PARTICIPANTS PAY IN CASH THE DAY OF THE SHOW -- This will allow us cash on hand to pay out winners. THANK YOU!!!
