August 5th: A Dragon Fruit Project Intergenerational Celebration
In two years time the Dragon Fruit Project has transformed the lack of accessible LGBTQ Asian Pacific Islander histories. Since 2012 the Dragon Fruit Project has worked to collect stories, transcribe audio, interview activists, and build community around deeper learning of selves and each other. Through this oral history work we are actively resisting the systems that have isolated us from each other and keep us out of mainstream present-day and historical narratives. Not only are we active agents archiving our individual histories, we are also piecing together organizational, community, and movement histories that will contextualize our collective narrative!

It's time to celebrate all of that work and support!

The Dragon Fruit project is currently being featured at the GLBT History Museum, as part of the API Exhibit! Our community has spent time, energy, and passion on this project, and we want to come together to celebrate our successes. We will have the time to reflect on what we've done, and look towards the future of our project. Whether you've been involved with Dragon Fruit in the past, or you're just now getting involved, join us for this chance to look back, move forward, and build community all at the same time.
