Bring A Book to Life - Our literacy campaign in conjuction with our children's show(s).
Joan Hope Guild (Events) - Plan and prep for cast parties and annual gala, work KLT booth at community events, and other things the board needs.
Fund Development - help us raise money so that we can keep having fun!
Marketing - help get the word out!
Play Reading - help us decide what shows to do!
Polly Alice Guild - Partnership with Korner's Folly
What roles interest you? (Check all apply)
Box Office – Sell tickets in lobby before a performance. Balance money received against tickets sold and record on sheets provided. Help sell drinks during intermission.
Costume Crew – Responsible to work with Costume Designer to costume all actors. Would involve making costumes, altering costumes in storage room to fit actors. Ability to sew a plus, but not necessary.
Costume Designer – Responsible for all costume design for the play. Work w/director & producer on costume designs for each actor. (KLT has a storage room with costumes which may or may not be a fit for the play.)
Direct Parking – Guide people to empty parking spots to maximize parking spots.
Events Representative - represent KLT at events in the community
Fund Development Assistant - help the VP of Fund Development with grants, donation requests and othe projects.
Hair Stylist - Design and create hairstyles on the actors based on input from director before each performance.
House Manager - Make sure the auditorium is clean, prepare seating, help ushers as needed
Hospitality - Show greeter, help with cast parties, provide lunch for Saturday work days, etc.
Light and Sound Load-in – Work w/others to install necessary equipment before the start of the performance run.
Light Designer – Work with Director to properly light all aspects of a production. Normally this involves equipment and systems owned by KLT.
Light Operator - Work during performances to operate equipment under the direction of the Stage Manager.
Make-up Artist – Work backstage to put theatrical makeup provided by KLT on actors before the show.
Photographer or Videographer - Help us with photos and creating videos
Posters Distributer - Share the KLT love by helping distribute and hang posters in the community
Properties Master - Work with director to obtain all props necessary to use in the production. Assure all props are available for actors when needed. Help with set changes to assure required props are on the set.
Scenic Designer - Work with Director and Set Designer to create a vision for the set and make it a reality. Work with set construction and painters to complete the set.
Set Building – Work with carpenter tools under the direction of Set Construction Designer. Tools provided.
Set Construction Designer – Work w/Director & Scenic Designer to design set. Work w/set construction crew to build set.
Set Dressing - This position includes finding and furnishing all things that appear on the stage during the play. Could include furniture and accessories, but not props.
Set Load-in - Help locate and load set pieces into the venue.
Set Load-out (also known as "Strike") - Help take the set apart and load set pieces out of the venue.
Set Painting - Work w/Set Construction/Scenic Designer to paint set. Artistic ability is a plus, but not necessary.
Sound Designer – Work with Director to create music and sound effects for the production using equipment owned by KLT.
Sound Operator - Work during performances to operate equipment under the direction of the Stage Manager.
Stage Crew - Make scene changes during performances.

Ticket Taking/Usher - Collect tickets and hand out programs when the doors open for seating. Return the tickets to box office for reconciliation.
