Tech Designers - Community Advocate (Part-time)
**This role is still open for applications**

Tech Designers is a new community helping designers network and learn from each other (designers of all experience levels). It is run by SaaS Design. Our community is new, with 60 members (and growing), with designers in the group from startups all the way to Fortune 500 companies!

This is a part-time, remote, freelance role (hourly) where you'll be working directly with the founder. You'll have ample freedom to be creative and implement your ideas.

Duties (2 hours/day, 5 days a week - best spread out in small increments throughout the day rather than all at once):
-Start discussion threads about design & think of new questions to ask the community
-Comment on existing threads, engage in discussion
-Moderate discussion
-Welcome new members who post to the "Intros" channel
-Think up new, creative topics to post about in the community on an ongoing basis (~1 new topic/day)

In this role, you'll be expected to produce some kind of activity 5 days a week (starting new threads, commenting on existing ones) in the group. You'll be working with me (the founder) and one other great Community Advocate.

Benefits:
-100% Remote
-Freelance: flexible working hours (we expect to see activity from you 5 days/week, but you can choose when each day).
-Be a core part of a new, growing community

Required qualities:
-Previous experience in design
-Scrappy self-starter: you are self-motivated and don't need outside motivation or prodding to get things done.
-Organized & collected: Your schedule is organized and you have room for a part-time gig like this. Please put the word "codeword" somewhere in your application if you've read this.
-Bias towards action: you default towards action in your work
-Excellent written communication and grammar

Nice-to-haves:
-Previous community building experience or social media experience
-Previous freelancing or remote work experience

This is more than a moderator job -- we call it "Community Advocate" because it requires thinking up new topics to post about and starting thoughtful discussion to inspire members.  If you were to start a discussion thread in the Tech Designers community, what is an example of something you might post in the community to spark a discussion? *
Do you have any previous remote work experience or freelance experience? If so, please describe.
This is a contract/freelance role that is part-time and remote. It would start off at about 2 hours total/day, 5 days a week. How much would you be looking for in terms of pay (hourly)? Please list a number or a range.
