We are happy to inform you about the establishment of Cochrane Russia as a branch of the Nordic Cochrane Centre with Coordinating Hub at the Kazan Federal University, which has been approved on the 14th of August by the Cochrane Central Executive!
This is a very important historical event for the Russian Federation, all Russian-speaking countries and the Cochrane collaboration!
Establishing of Cochrane presence and activities in Russian Federation takes place at the time of structural reforms at the entire Cochrane collaboration with revision of existing Cochrane membership scheme (please, see here http://community.cochrane.org/sites/default/files/uploads/Cochrane%20Membership%20Scheme%20-%20consultation%20version.pdf), so that everyone could get involved in Cochrane work and become a part of the Organization.
No matter whether you are an experienced author of Cochrane systematic reviews or you are defending the principles of evidence-based medicine, or are involved in the Cochrane translations project, or you just support Cochrane activities - for each of you there is a place within Cochrane!
Becoming more open and inclusive, Cochrane aims to build effective and sustainable organization, improve organizational cohesion and reduce barriers to participation in its activities.
With the aim of building up Cochrane Russia, defining its development strategy as a strong network of Cochrane members / satellites on the vast territory of the Russian Federation and in Russian-speaking countries, and of identifying potential for participation of experts, researchers and other stakeholders in Cochrane activities and in Cochrane Russia, we ask you to answer a few questions of our survey.
