Call for Applications: National Youth Dialogue on Just Transition: Advancing Climate Justice through Inclusive Youth Leadership in Nigeria

The Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI) invites applications for the National Youth Dialogue on Just Transition: Advancing Climate Justice through Inclusive Youth Leadership in Nigeria.

This 2-day dialogue will convene 50 selected participants in Ilorin, Kwara State to examine critical climate policy intersections, build capacity and co-create the National Youth Just Transition Communiqué and National Youth Climate Agenda ahead of COP31.

Who Should Apply?

  • NGOs & CSOs: Representatives working on climate change, social justice or governance.
  • Professionals: Climate and sustainability practitioners.
  • Youth Leaders: BBYDI youth leaders and University of Ilorin climate champions.
  • Government Officers: Representatives from the Kwara State Ministry of Environment and relevant MDAs.
  • Community Representatives: Youth leaders and representatives from climate-vulnerable communities.

Selection is based on:

  • Relevant Experience & Commitment: A demonstrated background or strong interest in climate action, social justice, energy transition or policy advocacy.
  • Full Availability: Commitment to actively participate in person for the entire 2-day event (including World Café sessions, group discussions and drafting sessions).
