Inklings Writing Workshop
Inklings Writing Workshop with Mrs. Gurley is for rising third through sixth graders. This summer students will participate in the writing process in an engaging, meaningful way. Through brainstorming, mapping, drafting, and revising, students will gain confidence in their writing and learn to better express their ideas. Students will examine mentor texts, work in small groups, and receive encouragement and feedback on their writing as they create a writing notebook. We will experiment with both creative and essay writing during the week while we learn about word choice and sentence structure. Plus, we’ll devote some time to completing our assigned language arts summer work!
