The CD9 Community Grant was first established by Councilmember Curren Price in 2021 as an effort to reinvest resources previously earmarked for the Los Angeles Police Department, to be utilized instead for the benefit of our community in the form of grants to local organizations. Due to the success of the program, the Councilmember is opening a second round with approximately $3,000,000 available. Grants from $5000 to $100,000 will be awarded to eligible applicants. Priority will be given to CD9 based organizations including non-profits, faith-based organizations, schools, and Neighborhood Councils, who will bring innovative projects and programming to the area.
