The University Life Events Council is a group of students from each school who plan activities that connect students across all Columbia schools. Council events elevate and enhance community building, wellness and inclusion at Columbia. Sponsored by the Office of University Life, the Events Council is a great way for Columbia undergraduate and graduate students to get involved with campus life, meet other students from different schools, and gain valuable leadership experience. Past events have included: Low Lounge, Passport to Columbia, Low-Lapalooza: Silent Disco, Paint the Night, Day of Service, and film screenings.
The University Life Events Council is made up of:
-Leadership team: students that take a larger role in the planning and implementation of events and programs.
-School liaisons: students who represent their schools and give feedback on University Life initiatives
-Committee members: active members of the committees and event volunteers.
The Office of University Life is currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Events Council School Liaisons and Committee Members. Learn more about the University Life Events Council and its structure at
