The Sturgeon Spawning season generally begins sometime between late March to mid to late April and is highly dependent on how our Wisconsin Spring weather patterns affect water temperatures throughout the Winnebago System. It's hard to pinpoint an exact date, but we will contact you when we feel it's getting close.

Note: Signing up for information about volunteering for Sturgeon Guard does NOT mean that you are committing to work a Sturgeon Guard shift or that we are committing to schedule you for a shift. 
This simply tells us that you are interested in volunteering and gives us permission to contact you when we get closer to the spawning season. At that time, we will ask if you are still interested in volunteering (things come up!) and what your availability is.

Q: Why is this information needed?
A: When possible, we try to schedule you in an area closer to your home, decreasing driving time and distance.
