hackSheffield Committee Interest
Apply here to become an organiser for HackSheffield. We are currently a small dedicated team looking for new members who will continue the society. We are not necessarily looking for experience, but the willingness to dedicate yourself to the society.
As an organiser, you will have the option to be involved in many different aspects of organising events. You will need to be responsive to the team's needs and keep everyone informed of what you are doing.
There is a lot that goes into organising a hackathon - obtaining and persuading leads for new sponsors, maintaining relationships with existing sponsors, dealing with swag/catering vendors, responding to emails, publicising our events and generally making sure things go quickly and smoothly. Things are always evolving and you need to be prepared to manage new ideas - if you've got any ideas for how you can make our next hackathon better, we're all ears!
