ABOUT THE JOB:
The ideal candidate will possess solid hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge & experience, good oral and written communication skills, be motivated to learn and grow with the company, and provide the best possible customer care when dealing with issues. You must be able to courteously help people who have little technical knowledge. Excellent critical thinking skills, rock-solid reliability, and the ability to quickly learn complex systems are musts. This is a virtual position so you will need to stay on top of communication on a number of channels, including Slack and email, and to be available during normal business hours. A+ certification is a plus.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshooting for our in-house team, as well as our students and clients. Issues will include configuration and solving problems with hardware and software, handling user problems with both proprietary and outside software products, and more. You will also be asked to conduct research and recommend hardware for specific internal applications, and to assist with other projects as skill and time allows. You will be answering tech support tickets and emails, and assisting students, clients, and customers in our private Facebook groups.

SCHEDULE:
20 - 30 hours to begin with, transitioning to full time. We generally work Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00, although we allow some flexibility.

Our home base is located in the St. Louis region but this position can be performed remotely, requiring a secure & reliable internet connection

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Negotiable, depending on experience.
- Vacation, holiday, and personal time.

- Insurance available after 60 days of full-time employment

You’ll go above and beyond to meet your customer’s needs & serve as a coach to the people you'll be supporting on how to best meet their technical challenges. The ideal candidate is both results oriented, thriving in an environment where the bar is set high and goals are achieved, as well as strategic, with a desire to devise new and creative solutions wherever appropriate. The ideal candidate will be well organized, able to take in information from multiple sources, and be fully able to meet myriad demands quickly and dynamically. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for analyzing data, critical thinking, and problem solving. Strong verbal and written communications are a must, both for clearly communicating with students, clients, and our team, and for building trust. Self-management is key, meaning that the ideal candidate will know how to prioritize time and activities to get the most impact from the activities performed, as well as follow-through to completion.

This position is entry level, but you will be filling an important customer-facing role (our customers are our life blood) with plenty of room to move up based on performance, starting out part time & moving to full time as workload and skill level allows.
