2018 March Mystery Madness
Thanks for your interest in joining in the fun and the mystery of this beloved intergenerational tradition at UCM!
March Mystery Madness is a way to form new friendships and connections between different generations within our community. If you sign-up, we'll match you with a mystery person (adults are matched with kids and vice versa).
For the first two Sundays (March 11 and 18th) you exchange a note to each other, dropping it off in a special spot in the vestry BEFORE the service and picking up your note/clue AFTER the service. Some people might include a small token of a gift with their note (maybe a pencil to go with the clue "I like to draw" or some star stickers to show, "I love to go camping and look at the night stars"). It doesn't have to be fancy or elaborate, just that you get something to your match each of those two Sundays. IF you can't make it one Sunday, you can leave something with Liza or someone else to put in your match's box that day.
The week of Mar. 4th you'll get a postcard telling you a few things about your match's interests. You'll also get assigned a secret number for your match.
It's good to include a clue about WHO you are with each note, while still be sneaky and not revealing who you are completely. That is saved for Sun. March 25th the day of the BIG REVEAL and CELEBRATION. On that day, during coffee hour in the vestry you'll finally meet your match. You''ll have a special spot for you and your match to sit, share in some special refreshments, and play a game or get to know each other during the coffee hour time. Many buddies exchange a special token gift to each other on this day.
Below is the official sign-up. If you have any technical difficulties, feel free to do a paper version at the RE table during coffee hour. Deadline is 11:30 am Sun. March 4th.
