The Namibian Competition Commission (the Commission) is a juristic entity established by the Competition Act No 2 of 2003 (” the Act”). The Act aims to promote and enhance competition in Namibia, fostering economic efficiency, providing competitive pricing, promoting employment, promoting global market engagement, ensuring fair participation for small and medium enterprises, and encouraging ownership distribution, particularly for historically marginalized individuals.
The Commission as part of its functions, powers, and duties, administers and enforces the Act, educates the public, collaborates with foreign authorities, conducts research, provides advice, enhances market transparency, investigates breaches by undertakings, controls mergers, consults with the Minister on economic or public interest matters, and advises the Minister on international agreements concerning competition matters governed by the Act.
The Commission decided to undertake a stakeholder satisfaction survey to better understand its stakeholders' needs and how to best serve them. The information gathered will be used to inform and tailor the Commission's approach to effectively carry out its work and deliver service to its stakeholders. The results of the survey will be used:
· To acknowledge our stakeholders' needs and concerns and act on their feedback,
· Address our stakeholders’ expectations and inform the commission’s communication and advocacy initiatives in the next financial year,
· Enhance stakeholders’ collaboration, improve efficiency and innovation within the organisation, and identify ways to make the Commission processes more efficient, and
· Build trust and stronger stakeholder relationships.
Therefore, the Commission would be very grateful if you could spend a few minutes to complete the Stakeholders Satisfaction Survey to help the Commission ensure that its work is and remains relevant to its stakeholders. Your honest opinion in this regard will be highly appreciated.
