The CDA Political Team create and implement a political strategy that will young register voters and win elections across the county.
Available Positions and Responsibilities:
Deputy Political Director: Assists the Director in managing the Political Team and Caucus Team.
Voter Registration Coordinator : Work with State Federations and Campus Chapters to produce materials to meet CDA's Voter Registration goals.
Swing State Coordinator : Will develop a cross-state federation strategy to make sure College Dems are engaged in swing states.
The purpose of the CDA Caucus System is to provide college students with the unique opportunity to become politically involved with groups and issues that really matter to them. As the Democratic Party is composed of many coalitions and concerns, the caucus system will allow state federations, chapters, and members to engage like-minded student organizations and individuals on their respective campuses. Caucuses will support legislation and candidates that embody their issues . Further, it will enable members to build relationships with organizations, institutions and policy makers across the country, providing their membership with opportunities to attend events, network, and receive internships.
The CDA Caucus Coordinator will assist the Political Director in managing the Caucus Team. Each CDA Caucus will have a Chair and Vice Chair. The CDA Caucuses are:
Asian American & Pacific Islanders Caucus
Veterans and Military Family's Caucus
