FronteraFest 2026 Short Fringe Application 

Welcome to the FronteraFest 2026 Short Fringe Application! This is an unjuried festival, so slots are filled on a first-come basis. The deadline to apply is November 1st, 2025, but there is a $10 discount on the application fee (automatically applied) if you apply by October 1st.

FronteraFest 2026 GUIDELINES

    1. Entries may not exceed 25 minutes. Entries that exceed 25 minutes will be ineligible for “Best of" performances and may not be allowed to complete their performance.

    2. FronteraFest is not responsible for securing or paying any royalties. Proof of royalties and rights is required prior to production, even for original work.

    3. You will be provided with a space to perform, full-scale publicity, a unit set, a lighting plot, sound and light board operators, backstage assistance, and one guaranteed performance with the potential for 3 additional performances.

    4. Each entry is allowed 6 lighting cues (no exceptions) and 3 sound cues.

    5. A panel comprised of arts professionals, community members, and each week's audience will decide who will perform in the Saturday “Best of Week” and final week “Best of Fest” bills.

    6. Your tech rehearsal will be held on either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday immediately preceding your performance. More specific information on time and date will follow in November.

    7. If applicants cancel their performances after they are scheduled in November, the application fee will not be refunded; additionally, applicants cannot transfer their slot to another party.

Please note that the vast majority of applicants request Fridays and the last two weeks. The earlier in the week and the festival your requested dates are, the more likely you are to get one of them.
