ConnecTech Fellowship Application- Due Feb 28
The purpose of this fellowship is to encourage friendships and connection between Jewish students at MIT and the Technion.

By providing opportunities for mifgash (meeting), and limmud (learning) ConnecTech fosters a sense for participants at both universities that they are part of a global Jewish people. The fellowship achieves this through exploring and understanding the Jewish life of peers in Israel and the Diaspora, and examining Jewish identity and community.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled MIT students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees

Applicants must have plans to remain a student through the 2017-2018 academic year

Applicants must have participated in Birthright Israel, previously participated in a peer trip to Israel, or aged out of the Birthright program (special exceptions may apply, inquire if you're interested)

Selection Process
Info Session Drop-in Hours (Suggested, not required): Friday 2/17 from 11:30-1pm, Tuesday 2/21 from 4-6pm in the basement of W11.

Applications are due by Tuesday, February 28.

Interviews will take place on a rolling basis through Friday, March 10.

Up to 10 fellowships will be awarded by Wednesday, March 15.

Awards and Expectations
MIT ConnecTech Fellows will receive a free trip to Israel to visit the Technion in Haifa and their ConnecTech counterparts beginning the morning of Friday, June 1, 2017 through the evening of Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

MIT ConnecTech Fellows will be expected to participate in a video chat conference (scheduled according to you and your group's availability) with various Technion peers for 3 sessions in the spring leading up to the trip and 3 sessions in the summer/fall preceding the Technion visit to MIT.

MIT ConnecTech Fellows will be expected to participate in all ConnecTech orientations, programs, and meetings (3-5 per semester).

MIT ConnecTech Fellows will be expected to host and participate in the Technion visit to MIT in late October.

MIT ConnecTech Fellows will be expected to submit written reflections of their experience 2-3 times over the course of the fellowship.
