Forestry Standards

The process of coming up with a forestry standard requires sector wide engagement and a focus on simplicity and refinement in order to achieve a standard that is clear and functional. To be successful there will need to be a public-private partnership that can work together, and is prepared to give the time to help develop a piece of critical industry wide digital infrastructure.

To carry on as-is means the advantages of all the digital tools becoming available but without the ability to easily use them together and a large loss of potential productivity.  To develop a standard will future-proof our ability to work together as we become ever more data orientated.

We (Evolving Forests & The Sylva Foundation) are asking anyone interested to register your interest with us.  We will collate private and public interest and use this to think about how and who might undertake and fund this work.

You'll be asked for you contact information below and permission to use your email for this project.  If you would like to cruise our data collection and GDPR policy, you can find it here.
