Belly Dance with Fans

We will use a combination of flamenco, burlesque, and Chinese circus moves with fans. Some of these moves will be all-knew moves you probably don't know. Some will be layered on top of common ATS and fusion moves. I recommend purchasing a pair of the larger variety available online. You can get medium fans at the Dollar Store for $1.25. If you are not able to find a set of fans, I will have sets available for purchase for $3.

Learn a combination of new moves and moves from ATS style that are layered on top of moves you already know. Although your teacher will give you a chance to feel the weight of swords, discuss styles, and practice moving with them, we are going to be dancing with wood and long handled umbrellas to reduce the risk of accidental stabbings and damaging the studio floor. I have limited availability of extra pieces of wood, so please arrange with me in advance if you need me to provide a piece of wood to practice with. If you come to class, you will finally get to feel what it is like to skin the cat--with a sword!
*Both of these will have some review from last time and some different moves from last time.
