Welcome to DeMasi Middle School Orchestra! If your child is currently playing a string instrument, (violin, viola, cello, upright bass, no guitar or piano), and you would like to enroll them in the DMS orchestra program, please fill out this form.
Lessons are pull-out, meaning students will miss one academic class a week to attend lessons, however each student will be assigned a weekly lesson time that will rotate, ensuring they will not miss the same class each week. Additionally, students will participate in after-school orchestra rehearsals from 2:20-3:30 throughout the year in order to participate in our fall and spring concerts. *After-school incurs the standard ETSD club fee*
Additionally, students receive a grade for Orchestra lessons, rehearsals, at home practice, and occasional playing tests.
In addition to after-school rehearsals and concerts, I plan to include some fun field trips and other performance opportunities throughout the year!
As one of the best parts of being in an ensemble is making music with others, I hope your child will consider joining the orchestra with me and their peers!
