Quantum Wheel Application
Quantum Wheel is a three day game jam at the heart of Helsinki aimed at creating games based on Quantum Physics, both for education and research.

The event continues the Quantum Game Jam series, and it is a collaboration with quantum physicists from the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Quantum technology and from IBM Zurich, who will participate to the jam. Quantum Wheel is taking place on 15-17 February 2019. In this jam, the participants create games that utilize Quantum Black Box (tool developed at the University of Turku) and/or IBM quantum computer Q Experience. Otherwise the teams are free to choose their games' directions and technologies used.

The jam will have around 40 participants and will be located at the cozy Sea Allas Pool (https://www.allasseapool.fi/fi/) isn the center of Helsinki. Additional inspiration for the jam will be extracted from riding the SkyWheel Helsinki (http://www.skywheel.fi/en)!

The event is looking for participants to join the jam. There will be no possibilities for online participation to Quantum Wheel: the teams will work with each other face to face at the location and each team will also have physicists available to jam with and ask further questions. You don't have to have a team, as the teams are formed on the site, but you can encourage your friends to apply to the jam!

The participants are selected based on the applications. Quantum Wheel will cover food and a fixed amount of travel expenses (maximum amount indicated by you in your application) of the selected jammers. The jammers are responsible of all practical arrangements (booking and paying) of their travel, the costs are reimbursed after the jam based on receipts. There is no possibility to stay overnight at the jam location.

The application deadline is 20th January 2019, 16:00 EET.
All applicants will be notified by email latest on 25th January 2019.

The working language for the event is English, but you can also fill this application in Finnish.
