USM WCTP National Board Certification Support Groups 2024-25
USM's World Class Teacher Program offers support to National Board Certification candidates.  Because your support fee is supplemented by the state legislature, you can register for support with only one WCTP in Mississippi.

Choose one of these support options: Note: If you are an NBCT eligible for MOC support this year, do not register using this form.

Fully Online with 8Tuesday night Zoom meetings ($48) Dates: September17, October 8, October 22, November 12, January 14, February 4, March 11, April 22  (All times are 4:45-7:45)

Face-to-face Meetings, 7 Saturdays ($100). Dates: September 21, October 12, October 26, November 16, January 18,  February 22, April 12

Registration Fee: $100  for face-to-face Saturday meetings,  $48 for online option.

Two payment options:

You must fill out and submit this form to be registered. If you pay without submitting this registration form, you will not be in our database to receive emails about meetings or the Canvas course link. 

CEUs are available for an additional processing fee. 

September, October, November Face-to-Face meetings are from 8:15-1:00. January, February, and April meetings are from 8:15-2:30 with a 45 minute lunch break.  All meetings are in Owings McQuagge Hall on USM's Hattiesburg campus. All online meetings are 4:45-7:45.

Face-to-Face Meeting dates and Major Focus for the Meeting:
  • September 21, 2024: Component 2 and ATLAS 
  • October 12, 2024: Component 3 and ATLAS
  • October 26, 2024: Component 4 and ATLAS
  • November 16, 2024: Component 1
  • January 18, 2025: Components 1, 2, 3, and 4 (review of fall meetings)
  • February 22, 2025: Component 2 Peer Review, Component 1 Mock Assessment
  • April 12, 2025: Component 3 and 4 Peer Review  
Online meetings will have the same focus on the corresponding dates.

1.You will receive a link to our Canvas course. It might go to your spam folder, so keep an eye out for it.  
2. Register for National Board candidacy at www.nbpts.org to receive a Candidate ID #.  You will need to provide this number on this registration form.
3. When you register for candidacy, you MUST check the box for your information to be released to a Third Party. Otherwise, the USM WCTP will not be able to serve you.
