2017 GRP Summer Camp: teen session

Teen Session is for 13-19 year old participants, and will run from July 10th to July 16th. Monday through Friday are regular camp days held at our host school, from 9 am to 5 pm. Saturday is our showcase day and Sunday is at the recording studio! Stay tuned for more information about showcase and recording!

Something to note: GRP has carefully considered age, content, curriculum and camp culture, and we've developed the age requirements for summer camp in the interest of the most supported and successful experience. We would ask you to try as best you can to work within the age requirements we've established. If, after consideration, applicant would like to request an exception, you may email us to apply for an exception. As a reminder, exceptions are not guaranteed, and are made at the discretion of GRP Staff.

Teen Session will take place at EL CENTRO DE ESTUDIANTES located at 126 Dauphin Street, 19133. El Centro is an accelerated high school run by Big Picture Philadelphia.

The school is a couple blocks from the York-Dauphin Station on the Market-Frankford Line and 1 mile from exit 23 on I-95.

Please note: El Centro does not have an elevator. There are stairs to the first floor. Camp will be held on the 1st. 2nd and 3rd floors of the school. GRP will work to accommodate camper needs to the best of our ability. As an organization, we will continue to work towards securing ADA accessible spaces for our programs and events.

Early bird registration for returning campers begins March 8th, 2017
Submit your registration and application fee before April 1st and you will be guaranteed acceptance to summer camp! Once we process your application, we'll send you an acceptance letter.

Because of issues in the past with camper no-shows, we will be reinstating a small application fee. The application fee for both returning and new campers is $10. This fee also helps to cover the costs of processing the many applications that we receive. If this application fee poses a problem, please contact GRP at camp@girlsrockphilly.org.

Regular registration begins April 1st
After we prioritize our returning campers, we’ll know how many spots are available for new campers. New campers submit application, application fee and express yourself piece to be considered on a first-come first-served basis, depending on spots available (as well as age and instrument preferences). Once we receive your full application, GRP staff will schedule a quick phone call with all new applicants.

Returning applicants who apply after April 1st will be considered first-come first-served alongside new applicants but won’t need to submit express yourself piece or have a phone call with GRP staff.

Tuition and Forms deadlines have been extended to June 29!

Tuition is sliding scale $50 - $450.
Limited full scholarships are available. You will be invited to express interest in a full scholarship on your application.
