Your answer
As a foster parent, you may have an animal in your care for a short period of time (as little as a week) or for an extended time period (in cases of pregnant mother cats and their kittens). This will generally be determined at the time you receive the animal(s) to be fostered. However, this amount of time is subject to change depending on circumstances. If you know that you will be on vacation during the period of time you are being asked to foster, you must inform your foster coordinator as soon as you are aware. This will allow us to find the most suitable temporary accommodations for your animal(s). Additionally, while you are caring for foster animals, we may call you from time to time to check on the animals' progress and address any concerns you may have. As a foster parent, we want you to know that, although it is in only rare cases, if may be necessary to euthanize animals that have been in foster care. This is an option of last resort. You agree to keep all foster cats/kittens indoors at all times.
