Rockys Root Care x Women’s History Month RSVP
Come join the Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender (SDC) for a series of events hosted by Raquel Douglas (she/her) from Rocky's Root Care. Raquel is a plant-loving multimedia artist, wellness practitioner, and herbalist-in training with roots in Houston, Texas. She’s currently a Sociology Ph.D. Candidate at Brown University, where she is learning and sharing knowledge about the cultural, spiritual, and political elements of Black folks’ relationships to nature and practices of “inner work.”

BIPOC Restoration day
SDC, March 17th, Sunday, 3-5:30pm

As we learn from Audre Lorde, caring for ourselves is both self-preservation and political warfare. Grounded in a black feminist praxis of healing justice, we invite you to gather with us and be a part of a collective BIPOC restoration space facilitated by wellness practitioner and future master herbalist Rocky Douglas. There will be spaces for making an altar for our feminist ancestors/teachers, DIY bath salts/face masks, as well as good food and good music for us to enjoy in community.
