The Sisterhood has a zero tolerance towards harm including abuse, exploitation and neglect of children and adults. It is everyone’s responsibility in the Sisterhood to make our programs safe for all. Safeguarding includes protecting The Sisterhood volunteers, children, members and others from harm, inappropriate behaviour, abuse, sexual violence, discrimination, bullying, and/or harassment in any form (in person or online).
If the law has been broken, The Sisterhood may need to refer the incident to the local authorities.
If Sisterhood management is made aware of safeguarding complaints or concerns, we will respond to ensure the survivor is safe, protected from repercussions or reprisals and that complaints are reported and addressed internally and externally whilst addressing the risks of causing additional harm.
