Details About Participation:
• Accepted exhibitors are guaranteed one table and two chairs, which AFSP will provide upon request, as part of their participation in the event. Should you need additional accommodations, please contact Area Director Ellen Shannon at email@example.com.• The event is rain or shine and will only be canceled if there is an immanent threat of dangerous weather (ex. hurricane, severe storm, etc.).
Resources Fair Guidelines:
Exhibitors are invited to participate in the 2019 George Mason University Out of the Darkness Walk's Resources Fair to present materials related to resources offered by the exhibitor which serve the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. This includes, but is not limited to sharing information about resources such as: work that raises awareness or educates about suicide prevention and/or mental health resources, mental health care services, support for survivors of suicide loss, support for those with lived experience, suicide prevention/mental health research, etc. Resources Fair Exhibitors are NOT permitted to:
• Sell items or raise funds that are not benefiting AFSP• Solicit walkers for petition signatures or any other sign ups (may not collect contact info of any kind)• Present politically-charged content• Present specifically-religious content (ex. preaching, religious-based recruitment, etc.) • Present violent or graphic content that could be offensive or disturbing to our participants
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention reserve the right to control all content presented at its Out of the Darkness Walks at all times.
