City Council believes the Scarborough Subway Extension is the best transit option for our neighbourhoods. We're asking them to prove it.
Mayor Tory and the majority of City Council support the 1-stop Scarborough Subway Extension from Kennedy to Scarborough Town Centre. But it has never been compared with the existing Scarborough RT, or pre-approved, shovel ready 7-stop LRT, to determine if it will actually improve transit service for Scarborough.

In her report on the TTC briefing note, city Auditor General Beverly Romeo-Beehler stated that a value-for-money analysis of the Scarborough Subway Extension 'may form part of a future audit'.

We urge you to conduct a value-for-money analysis. Toronto residents deserve to know why their tax dollars ($3.56-billion) are being spent on a 1-stop subway, and not a 24-stop LRT network that would serve multiple Scarborough neighbourhoods and the students of Centennial College and University of Toronto Scarborough.
