AFROPUNK JOBURG 2018 TRADER APPLICATION
BITES&BEATS at AFROPUNK JOBURG 2018 will include 2 days of trading, DECEMBER 30 & 31.

BITES&BEATS, a food event within the festival in Johannesburg, will feature local food traders offering a wide variety of delicious food. Space is limited. Applicants are NOT guaranteed acceptance. AFROPUNK Traders are accepted on the basis of their menu, experience, clean and professional set up, and positive attitude.

Program Details
AFROPUNK anticipates 10,000-15,000 people to be in attendance at the festival each day.
We will stop taking applications October 28, 2018
We will make the first round of acceptance decisions for food traders by November 1, 2018.
We will send our final decisions by or on November 10, 2018 (this includes a message to those traders we will not be able to accept).
We can not give updates on your application status before November 10 (however if you have an idea of how you'd like to collaborate with AFROPUNK through your booth if accepted, then we LOVE discussing that before Oct 15).

Pricing for 2 days of food trading, and 10 trader credentials (wristbands):
6000 Rand

Tables, chairs, additional vending space, extra power, additional vendor credentials, etc. MAY (not guaranteed) be available for an additional charge. If you are accepted and require any of these additional items, please mention it upon acceptance.

Selected Traders will be required to complete and submit all paperwork and payments no later than 14 days from day of acceptance to confirm their booth or the reservation may need to be cancelled in order to book another restaurant or food trader.

Once accepted, you will be sent an acceptance letter with a contract, rules and regulations, necessary tax documentation, an invoice, and information regarding insurance. All of this is due within 14 days of acceptance to confirm participation.

Food traders need a health and safety compliance certificate that allows them to trade (Certificate of Acceptability). Initial below that you have this Certificate of Acceptability enabling you to operate at the event. *
Food Vendors will be required to produce the Certificate of Acceptability. Food vendors must obtain this certificate from the City. A copy of this Certificate of Acceptability (COA) will be required to be submitted by all food vendors to Afropunk in advance of the event.
